Elvin Eugene Glasscock was born the son of Thomas Washington and Claudia Esther Castleberry Glasscock.

He was a supervisor for Douglas Aircraft and the owner-operator of B&G Laundromat in Gentry and Colcord, Oklahoma.

Survivors include his wife, Viola "Fern" Cypert Glasscock; two daughters, Janet Fern Wilcox of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Marla Ballenger Connett of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
