His first wife's name is unknown, but they were the parents of:
Mary/25 Nov 1731 (Mrs James Lockhart)
Thomas/4 Nov 1733 m. Jane Herriott

He married his second wife, Elizabeth Lefletrau, on 27 Nov 1734 in Monmouth County, New Jersey. They were the parents of seven children. He lived in Monmouth County then moved to Somerset County around 1750 - which would explain why his youngest daughter was not baptized in the Tennant Presbyterian Church as all the others were.

WILL: Dated Sep 20 1758, Probate Jan 29 1759 WB G, p 24, John Berry of Bedminster, Somerset Co. wife Ezabell. Children: Thomas, David, John (under age), Mary Lockhart, Ezebell, Sidney, Elizabeth and Ebenezer, the last three under age.
Real and personal estate, the wife sole exec. with son Thomas, and son-in-law James Lockhart, as overseers.
Witnesses: Ralph Smith, William Colwell and John Henry.
