GIRARD — Lawrence W. Carlysle, 80, a resident of Fairview Manor, died Friday, July 9, 2004.
He was born Sept. 23, 1923, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Frank and Alice Ebbert Carlysle.
He was a former resident of Mid City Towers. He graduated from Wilkinsburg High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and received the Purple Heart. He attended St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include a son, Jim Carlysle of Elyria, Ohio; two daughters, Linda McKean and her husband, Brian, of Fairview Township and Janet Forsythe and her husband, Joe, of Thompson, Ohio; and four grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours and a service will be private.
Arrangements are being handled by the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, Girard.

Married Mary Jane Ober 9/6/1947 in Allegheny County, PA.

World War II veteran. Dates of service: 3/9/1943-1/4/1946.
