Annie Lee Garvey passed away Friday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
She was the daughter of the late Annie Hines Avery and Levy James Avery.
Mrs. Garvey is survived by two sons; a daughter; brother; sister; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; five nieces; and six nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Beatrice Hester, and a brother, Lloyd Avery.
The family would like to give special thanks to Wayne Memorial Hospital's staff on the seventh floor and Kitty Askins Hospice Center for all the loving care and support you all gave to our mother during this time.
Visitation will be held at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory on Monday from 7 until 8:30 p.m. A graveside service will be at the Maplewood Cemetery in Kinston Tuesday at 11 a.m.
