Maternal great-grandfather, Lucian Nathaniel Jackman, aka "Pa" and "L.N.", was eldest son of William Woodson Jackman and Arrania Basham Jackman. Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at Mt Tabor Baptist Church for Mr Lucian N Jackman, 83, one of the county's well known citizens and retired farmers, who succumbed at his home on Rt 1 after a brief illness. Mr Jackman was truly one of the county's highly respected citizens and was a devout member of Mt Tabor Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs Jim Ella Jackman; four daughters: Mrs Jett Slaughter, Glasgow; Mrs Macy Harlow, Cave City; Mrs Mallie Smith, Louisville; and Mrs Nora Biship, Rt 2; three sons: Guy, Glasgow; Judge, Detroit; W.T., Louisville.
