Funeral services for Yvonne Martin, 78, former longtime resident of Troup, are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 24, 2015 at First Baptist Church Troup with Reverend Steven Oakes officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery, under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

Mrs. Martin passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015 in Longview.

She was born February 22, 1937 in Tyler, Texas to the late Grandvill H. Waller and late Ola Mae Wilson Waller.

Yvonne was a 1955 graduate of Gaston High School and she also attended Tyler Junior College. She married the love of her life, Doyle Dean Martin on September 21, 1957 in Turnertown. Mrs. Martin lived in Troup most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Troup and loved being outdoors and working in her yard. She was a talented gardner and decorator and loved to be surrounded by pretty things.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers; Curtis King Waller, Herman Eugene Waller, and Buddy Waller, sister in law: Maurice Sherlock, and four brothers in law; Clifton “Buddy” Martin, Jerry Martin, Wayne Taylor and Lester Webb.

She is survived by her daughter and son in law; Deanne and John Loftis of Gladewater, granddaughter, Taylor Burns of Longview, grandson, Levi Loftis of Gladewater, sisters; Rubye Taylor and Billie Martin of White Oak, special niece; Debra Channon of Plano, two sisters in law; Betty Webb of Whitehouse and Shirley Martin Sliger of Lovelady, brothers in law and sisters in law; Gene and Jeanie Martin of Victoria and David and Wanda Martin of Longview, brother in law; Clifford Sherlock of Lake Hawkins, and numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends Johnny and Ava Ashby of Tyler.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, October 23, 2015 at Cottle Funeral Home.
