He was a member of Harbor Reformed Baptist Church, where he was very active in the life of the church.
Andy was born in Minot, North Dakota, and graduated from North Dakota State University. He began working for Boeing Corporation in Seattle, Washington, before moving to Holland where he worked for JCI for 19 years, most recently as the Director for Door Panel Product Manager of Sales.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Heidi; children, Cassidy, Carson and Dillon; parents, Allen and Nada Butz; mother-in-law, Debbie Quire; brothers and sister, Dave Butz, Thomas and Julia Butz, Cheryl and Garvin Osteroos; in-laws, Cynthia DuRuz, Dominic Quire; several nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2014, at Beechwood Reformed Church, 895 Ottawa Beach Rd., Holland, with Rev. Mark Chanski officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St., Holland.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Andrew Butz Children's Education Fund, c/o Harbor Reformed Baptist Church, 269 Douglas Ave. Holland, MI 49423.
