Mr. Howard was saved at the age of 21. He was ordained to become a deacon in 1953. Ordained to be a minister in 1957 by the Cahaba River Freewill Baptist Association. He pastored many churches all over the country. He attended school at High Point which is now Davis Chapel church in Sterrett. He pastored Davis Chapel Church for 24 years, was assistant pastor for 3 years. Mr. Howard worked at Stockhom Valve & Fitting in Birmingham 38 years where he retired. Over the years he conducted 340 funerals, performed 213 weddings, and thousands of revivals all over the country. He was a member of Ben M. Jacobs Masonic Lodge in Pell City. He served as Chaplain for many years.
