Lawrence Berg, 78, Crookston died Saturday, Jan. 27, 1996, in Riverview Nursing Home, Crookston.

Lawrence T. Berg was born Sept. 15, 1917, in Climax, Minn., the son of Torval and Karen (Bjornrud) Berg. He attended Eldred (Minn.) Consolidated School. He worked at Peterson-Biddick Co. in Crookston for 12 years and then at Jiffy Fry Co. He worked at the Dahlgren Co. in the early 1970s and retired in 1982. He married Viola Block July 17, 1948, in St. Paul.

She survives with brothers, Ralph, St. Paul, and Earl, Red Lake Falls, Minn.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Charles; brothers, Haibert, Alton and Telbert; sisters, Gina, Laura, Mamie, Hazel, Belva, Anna and Myrtle; and infant twin siblings, Murlin and Marion.

Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, Gentilly, Minn. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, in Stenshoel Funeral Home, Crookston. Burial: Gentilly Cemetery. Grand Forks Herald (ND), January 29, 1996
