Their mother was Mehitable (Foster) Leach Smith Wilson, born 25 Mar 1783 in Salisbury, Merrimack County, NH. (Her father was a fifer in the Revolutionary War.) She married Silas Leach sometime before 1802 and had 2 kids with him. He must have died before 14 Sep 1806 because on that date she married Alpheus Smith. By him she had 4 kids. He died 3 or 5 Nov 1913, and she next married Isaac Wilson and had 4 more kids. She died 17 Jun 1828 in Norwich, Windsor County, VT.
