A daughter of the late Oscar Frederick and Edna Irene Neal Meacham, she was survived by her husband, Paul L. Grier; two brothers and two sisters: Dr. Paul L. Meacham of Philadelphia, David M. Meacham of Indianapolis, Ind., F. Lucile Meacham of Richmond, Ind. and Dr. Esther A. Meacham of Columbus, Ohio.
She was a graduate of Indiana University and held a degree in library science from the University of Michigan. She was a member of the library staff at Indiana University and also at the University of Michigan. She served as secretary to President Edgar G. Gammon of Hampden-Sydney College for five years before joining the Hampden-Sydney Eggleston Library staff where she served as Acquisitions Librarian until her retirement in 1979.
