Died in childbirth. Husband John E. Keefe (O'Keefe). Children: twin sons, Emmett and Edwin (b: 12/14/1860); and Mary Emily (b: 3/2/1862). At Martha's death an aunt, Emily Grimes Bowen Gannaway took the twins, and another aunt, Harriet Elizabeth Grimes Perry
took the baby, Mary, to raise.

John was released from the Army in VA in 1865 and returned to Grimes County. In 1867 he remarried Mary Parker and the twins were returned to him to raise.
