Namesake of Charles W. Kneeland who was the husband of his paternal aunt, Elizabeth P Jackson Kneeland.

He retired as a mechanic, manufacturing shoe last forms, in family owned factory in Marlborough MA. He then worked on the Panama Canal Construction Project after which he came to San Diego California with the Pan-Pacific Exposition in Balboa Park and worked with the Panama Canal Project Demonstration. He was also a retired US Marshall.

He lived in the San Diego community for the last 26 years of his life near his sons and grandchildren.
