Obituary states that he was a member of the 120th Ohio Regiment and a member of GAR Post #90 at Goshen, IN.

Residence was not listed; 17 years old. Enlisted on 3/31/1864 as a Private. On 3/31/1864 he mustered into "E" Co. OH 114th Infantry. He was transferred out on 7/24/1865.

On 7/24/1865 he transferred into "B" Co. OH 48th Infantry. He was Mustered Out on 5/9/1866 at Galveston, TX.
