Surviving are one son, David Lee Hobson of Springfield, OH; two daughters, Martha Joyce Lampe of Dayton, OH, and Susan Hoerner of Cincinnati, OH; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters.
She was a graduate of Heltonville High School and received a teaching certificate from Hanover College in 1927. She received a B.A. degree from Miami University (OH) in 1957. She taught elementary school for more than twenty years in Reading, OH.
There will be a memorial service for Florence Hobson at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Maple Knoll Village Chapel. Burial will be Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery in Lawrence County, IN. The Day & Carter Mortuary is in charge of local arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Maple Knoll Fund.
