Florence Hobson of Cincinnati, OH, died Friday, January 22, 1999, at Maple Knoll Village in Cincinnati. Born on November 12, 1908, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of Hugh Alonzo and Florence (Brazil) Todd. She married Winton Lee Hobson, and he preceded her in death.

Surviving are one son, David Lee Hobson of Springfield, OH; two daughters, Martha Joyce Lampe of Dayton, OH, and Susan Hoerner of Cincinnati, OH; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters.

She was a graduate of Heltonville High School and received a teaching certificate from Hanover College in 1927. She received a B.A. degree from Miami University (OH) in 1957. She taught elementary school for more than twenty years in Reading, OH.

There will be a memorial service for Florence Hobson at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Maple Knoll Village Chapel. Burial will be Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery in Lawrence County, IN. The Day & Carter Mortuary is in charge of local arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Maple Knoll Fund.
