"Barbara Kingsbery-Jones age 80 of Santa Anna, Texas passed from this life on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 12:52pm at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

"Services will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. John Stanislaw and Rev. Ron Moore officiating. A private family graveside will follow at Santa Anna Cemetery with services under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home.

"She was born Barbara Sue Bruce on February 5, 1932 in Kimble County, Texas to the late Charlie and Leona Banister Bruce. Barbara was a lifetime resident of Santa Anna graduating from Santa Anna High School in 1949. She received her Associate Degree from Tarleton State University and attended Howard Payne University. On September 8, 1951 Barbara married Tom Kingsbery in Santa Anna and they celebrated forty six years of marriage. Tom preceded her in death in 1997. She later married M. C. Jones on November 26, 1997 in Santa Anna and he preceded her in death in 2008. Barbara was a Homemaker and Stockfarmer. She was editor of the Santa Anna News and Brown County Gazette and was Santa Anna Municipal Judge until her retirement. She served on the Santa Anna School Board for 12 years and the Coleman County Tax Appraisal Board where she also served as president. She was a member of the Santa Anna Self Culture Club, Circle C Cattlewomen, Santa Anna Bridge, and Breeder Feeder.

"Survivors include: two daughters, Sue and husband John Porter of Bangs, Texas; Carol and husband Bob Otto of Lago Vista, Texas; two sisters, Margaret Robin of Houston, Texas; Evelyn and husband Jack Kingsbery of College Station, Texas; two granddaughters: Diana and husband Brandon Johnson of Brownwood, Texas; Mollie and husband Ross Pehl of Midland, Texas; a step-daughter: Cady Kern of Plano, Texas; two step-sons: Salt Jones of Calgary, Canada; Pepper Jones of Austin, Texas; several nieces and nephews."
