David Stanley Boone passed away Sunday Decmber 22, 2013 in Hanford, Ca. David was born in Stockton, Ca., July 31, 1938 to Lawrence and Lucille Boone. He was the baby of the family with three older siblings. He grew up in Stockton on 25 acres in the Morada district. FFA and 4H kept David very active as well as tending to a farm. David graduated from Lodi High School. He later enrolled at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Ca., while serving in the Army National Guard, graduating with his BA in Biology.

He married Evelyn Jean Boone and had a daughter by the name of Diana Boone. They later moved to Hanford, Ca., where David started working for Penzoil. David worked as a chemist by trade. David was very active in his daughter's early school years, volunteering countless hours for Hanford Elementry School District. He worked for several companies in his lifetime retiring from Leprino Foods East.

David is survived by his daughter Diana Boone and granddaughter Lily Boone, his niece Laurie Westover (husband John Westover) of Santa Maria, Ca., Ann Harbert (husband Tom Harbert) of Roseville, Ca. , and nephew Mark Boone (wife Fran Boone) of Dixon, Ca. And also survived by several great-nephews and great-niece. He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings and his wife.

David was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. Celebration of life services will be at the First United Methodist Church in Hanford, Ca. Saturday January 11, 2014 at noon.
