1914 – 2008
OGDEN – Fawn P. Anderson, 93, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Sunday March 30, 2008 at her home with her family present.
She was born August 19, 1914 in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Hans C. Peterson and Syrina Keddington. She married Norman J. Anderson on February 7, 1935 in Coalville, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. An active member of the LDS Church, she served in the Primary, Young Women's and in the Ward and Stake Relief Society Organization. She also served in the Ogden Temple.
Her hobbies included quilting and crocheting. She really had a green thumb. Her porches were arranged as a beautiful garden all year long.
She loved to play games, crochet gifts for her family and have banana split parties. Her family was her greatest joy. No one left her home without something to eat. She was so pleased that every grandchild and great-grandchild knew her well.
She is survived by her children Norman Keith (Jeannie), John Blaine (Gerene), Eileen (Gordon K.) Madsen, Julie Heywood, Ralph (Juliann), Carol Liptrott; 30 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Elva Smith and June Jackson; and sister-in-law Mildred Bruce. She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister Vera Dawley and 2 sons-in-law JC Heywood and Steve Liptrott.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden. Friends may call on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
