Mrs. Ada Victoria Bell Blevins, age 103, Wilkesboro died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Avante Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 3:30 PM. March 26, 2011 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Mike Barefoot, Rev. Billy Shepherd and the Rev. Gary Miller officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:30 until 3:30 prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Blevins was born November 27, 1907 in Wilkes County to William E. and Alice Harris Bell. Before retiring, she was the café manager for Smithey's Department Store. Mrs. Blevins was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Rufus Blevins, Sr.; a son, Lonnie Rufus Blevins, Jr.; three sisters, Sally Cleary, Dorothy Billings, Edna George; four brothers, Dewey Bell, Claude Bell, Major Bell and Freeman Bell.

She is survived by: four daughters, Peggy Greene and husband, Benny of Purlear, Virginia Bauguess and husband, Bobby of Kernersville, Iva Lee Ellis and husband, Floyd, Vea Blevins and husband, Ray all of North Wilkesboro; a daughter-in-law, Eva Blevins of North Wilkesboro; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 10 great, great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Walnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 200 Berry Mill Lane, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659 or Avante Nursing Home Activity Fund, 1000 College Street, Wilkesboro, NC 28697.
