The son of Clarence Wesley and Opal Maurine (Boyd) McDonald. Dale was born on February 28, 1930 in Stafford County, Kan.
He served his country in the United States Army from 1955-1957. He and Joan Friesen were married on July 22, 1951 at Montezuma, Kan. He lived in Montezuma most of his life except living in Garden City from 1979 -1994, then moved to Grove, Okla. in 1994 and has lived there since.
He was a farmer and was a salesman for Allis-Chalmers. He was a member of the Church of the New Jerusalem, Pawnee Rock, Kan., Lifetime member of V.F.W., Dodge City, Kan. He had served on Montezuma District Hospital Board.
Survivors include: his wife, Joan McDonald of Grove, Okla.; two daughters, Joy Roragen and husband, David of Joplin, Mo., Gay McDonald of Joplin, Mo.; three sisters, Doris Friesen of Montezuma, Kan., Vera Kinnamon of Montezuma, Kan., Nadine Tuxhorn and husband, Melvin of Dodge City, Kan.; one brother-in-law, Dale Tuxhorn of Montezuma, Kan., and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Glen McDonald and one sister, Dora Tuxhorn.
Friends may call Friday, February 18, 2005 from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at the United Methodist Church, Montezuma, Kan. with Rev. Eric Zacharais presiding and burial in the Fairview Cemetery, Montezuma, Kan.
