Middle name is Shipman, born in Lilac, Milam, TX. ~ provided by: plyce
"Daily Citizen", April 1900 and "Tombstone Epitaph", Aug 12, 1900 - He was a Texan whose father was a Willcox magistrate. In 1900 he was deputy sheriff of the town of Johnson, working with George Mulkay, Constable and Amos H. Wien as Justice of the Peace. Described as "efficient", the gentleman rarely dealt with lawlessness in their jurisdiction. Mid-April 1900 an armed robber stuck up a gambling table at Tom Steele's saloon. Deputy sheriff Page pursued and apprehended the badman and incarcerated him in the county jail at Tombstone. Later that year, Page was the arresting officer of a Hispanic that killed a man in a knife fight in a fight over his wife. ~~ contributed by: JamiA
