Pfc. David D. Finch, 24, of Bath Springs, Tenn., died Dec. 8 in Wasit province, Iraq, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using small arms fire. 'Dustin' was assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas. Pfc Finch was preceded in death by grandparents, George and Blondell Finch; uncles, Randy Finch and Wayne Rea; and grandfather, Jack Claunch. He is survived by his wife, Heather (Brown) Finch; parents, James David Finch; mother, Beth Neumann and step-father, Art Neumann of Humboldt; sister, Autumn Finch of Lexington; grandmother, Clarine Claunch of Bath Springs, TN; nieces, Jasmine Finch and Ryleigh Broadstreet; special friends, Jay Gregory and Cole Palmer; many other friends, and the 3rd ACR, Fort Hood, TX.
