Probably eldest of 10 of William H. and Mary Welsh Mackey, Sarah married William Twitty about 1790 in SC. She was widowed about 1808/9 when William disappeared in Indiana Territory with their 19 year old son, William Twitty, Jr.
She was married in Jefferson Co. on 19 Sep 1838 by Jonathon Wells, Esquire, to neighbor James Bodine (1772 VA-18__ IL). They entered into a legal agreement that "neither would exercise any influence over the other's possessions now or in the future" which was notarized and signed on Jan 28, 1842.
Her full biography is under the name TWITTY.
