The following paragraph appears in The Henckel Genealogy "Honorable Charles B. Crosno, one of the most prominent, best known and respected pioneer citizens of the county _______" (Yaquina Bay News). He served as collector of the port of Yaquina Bay. He was an ex-state senator from Benton and Lincoln Counties and had served two terms as state representative in the Legislature. He was a prominent member of the Odd Fellows Lodge.
