TIMOTHY "TIM" EDWARD ANDERSON
VALPARAISO, IN

Timothy "Tim" Edward Anderson, age 66, of Valparaiso passed away on Friday, October 22, 2010 at the VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso.
He was born on May 29, 1944 in Detroit, MI to William and Margaret (Glass) Anderson.
Tim was a graduate of Kokomo High School and also of Valparaiso Technical Institute. He worked for 40 years at Mittal Steel in Burns Harbor, where he was a member of the United Steelworkers of America. Tim served in the army security agency during the Vietnam War, was a member of the Church of Christ in Valparaiso and was a Ham Radio Operator. He enjoyed his family, church, cars and reading.
On May 21, 1966 in Kokomo he married Merigail Vickers who survives along with two daughters: Christina (Scott) Valpatic of Valparaiso and Melissa (Shannon) Granger of Fairview, NC; his sister, Anita (John) Miller of Birmingham, AL; and grandson, Andrew Granger.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lowell Anderson.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, IN 46383 with Mark Russell officiating.
Burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Valparaiso.
Visitation will be on Monday, October 25, 2010 from 3:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the VNA Hospice Center.
