At 17, she was to be married to an older man, but she was in love with a young farmer boy from Covington Indiana. She was to be married on Febuary 14th, Valentines day. When she did not come down on her wedding day her mother came up the stairs and found her dead. Some believe she died of a broken heart and others believe it was either consuption or turburculosis. There is also a story of her casket being coverd by glass, and there is a stair well over by her grave, but the story is that her parents would go and see her. but in the 1950s a water main broke and it got ruined.
