August Hein, 88, retired Sun Prairie farmer and sorgum manufacturer, died Thursday at a Madison hospital. He was born near Waterloo and was married to Minnie Albright, of Waseca, MN on Mar. 6, 1889. She died on July 31, 1944. Mr. Hein was formerly Sun Prairie treasurer and street commissioner and was a member of the Sun Prairie Methodist Church, serving as treasurer, Sunday school teacher, and trustee for many years. Surviving are a son Edward C. of Madison; a daughter, Mrs. Russel Kendell of Sun Prairie; and two grandchildren, Charles E. of Madison and Kenneth L. of Sun Prairie. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Methodist Church with the Rev. I. A. Mielenz officiating. Burial will be in Sun Prairie cemetery. Friends may call at the Tuschen Funeral Home from today until noon Saturday when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until the funeral hour. WSJ 1/5/1951
