Virginia Belle was born February 15, 1926 in La Feria, Texas to Carol and Carl Junker.
She attended La Feria schools, graduating from La Feria High School in 1944. She was a long time employee of the old Hi-Way Inn Restaurant in Harlingen.
In 1975 she married James Robert Sifford. They lived in Seminole, Texas and Harlingen. There was nothing Mom liked better than fixing up a big meal and then playing a game of cards with her children and grandchildren, winning most of the time, and loving every minute of it. She attended First Baptist Church of Combes and enjoyed the many friends she made there.
Virginia was survived by four children and their spouses; daughter, Alice Harrison and husband, Mike, son Wayman Dubose and wife, Lynn, daughter, Wynn Lane and husband, Frank, son Dennis DuBose and wife, Michell. 8 grandchildren knew her as Meemaw: Patrick and Gordon Harrison, Ashley and William DuBose, Robin and Angela Lane, Charles and Laura DuBose.
Beloved brother and sisters, Carl and Shirley Junker and Arlene Lothringer, also survive her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Sifford, parents, Carl and Carol Junker, sister, Maude Ida Harris and brother, Walter Junker.
Graveside services will be on Friday, October 21, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
