Services for Roy Sifford, 76, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Monday at W.W. Rix Chapel with Jim Bales officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors of Lubbock.

He died Saturday, March 31, 2001.

He was born Dec. 1, 1924, in Fannin County and married Margaret Whitt on Sept. 4, 1946, in Durant, Okla. He served in the U.S. Army as a deep-sea diver and was stationed in Okinawa during World War II. He was a longtime employee of Modern Chevrolet.

He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Yellow House Lodge No. 841 and Lubbock Consistory of Scottish Rite Masons. He also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a longtime worker with the Rainbow Girls.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Margaret Doyle of Groton, Conn., and Nancy Alana of Granbury; a son, David of Lubbock; a brother, Basil Sifford of North Little Rock, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
