Sister Sheffield was born in Early County, Georgia, September 13, 1844, united with Free Will Baptist Church, 1865. She was a devoted Christian, a true companion, a loving mother, a good neighbor. To love her was to know her.
She leaves 11 children, nine boys and two girls, with a host of friends to mourn her loss. But we believe our loss is her eternal happiness. She proved her faith by her works.
Written by one who served as her pastor for 20 years.
