Mrs. Mary Benedetto Alfonso [pictured] died Saturday. Funeral was Monday with interment in Greenlawn cemetery. She was born in Donaldsonville; was a resident of Hammond for 34 years. She and Mr. Alfonso had been married for 33 years. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Tony, Louis and Joe; three daughters, Mrs. Nunzio Ragusa, Mrs. James Brooks and Miss Lillie Alfonso; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Alfonso and Mrs. Louis Alfonso; three grandchildren, Carmalite and Gloria Mae Ragusa; nine nephews; eight nieces; two grandnieces. Six nephews were pallbearers: Louis N., Louis D., Tony D., Joe F. Alfonso; Santo Muscarrello and Nat Accardo.
