Authur Gardner Brown

OLNEY – Services for Authur Gardener Brown, 78, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2 at the Olney Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Bob Graham. Interment followed in the Moore Cemetery.

The son of the late Authur Allen and Mattie Gardner Brown, Brown was born in Olney on March 19, 1915. He died in Olney on Saturday, Oct. 30, 1993.

Brown married Ineze Nadine Turner on March 23,1938. A rancher and retired Coal County District 3 employee, Brown was also an avid horseman and hunter.

Survivors include his wife, Ineze, of the home; three daughters, Judy Brown of Olney, Marilyn McDaniel of Ada, and Kay Gwinn of Olney; one brother, Carl Brown of Tishomingo; two sisters, Loraine Collins of Clarita and Alma Bridges of Midwest City; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
