Lorene Arnold of Church Hill departed this life for her Heavenly home, Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at the Holston Valley Hospital & Medical Center after a long illness. She was born October 29, 1931. She loved her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was of the Holiness faith, saved by God's grace and baptized in his name and filled with his spirit.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Eldridge Arnold in 2002. Her parents, Arthur and Annie Simpson, sisters, Nellie and Thelma Simpson, brothers, Hallie, Elizie and Willie Simpson, Son-in-law, Gary Ryans and Daughter-in-law, Gail Arnold.
Survivors include her Daughters and Sons-in-laws, Gary (Sherlene) Musick of Church Hill, Randy (Annie) Treadway of Church Hill, Sons and daughter-in-laws, Alvin Herbert and Teresa Arnold, Lester Arnold, Garland & Kathy Arnold and David Arnold all of Church Hill. Grandchildren and spouses, Jason & Tracy Arnold of Huntsville, Ala., Justin & Emily Ryans of Jonesborough, Preston & Candace Ryans of Church Hill, Seth Arnold and Isaac Arnold of Church Hill. Granddaughter, Suzanne Arnold of Blountville, Great Granddaughter, Natalie Ryans of Church Hill, Step Grandson, Curtis Musick of Rogersville, Brother and Sister-in-law, Alley & Nelda Simpson of Mount Carmel. Special niece and husband, George & Helen Necessary of Mount Carmel. Several other nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday at the Johnson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Thursday at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ellis Crawford and Rev. Ron Grimes officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday at the McPheeters Bend Cemetery.
