"At his home near here on last Thursday, Mr. Robert Bell aged 86, stricken with paralysis. Left his wife and following children: Mrs. J. W. Patrick and Mrs. Rich Arrasmith of this neighborhood; Mrs. W. R. Hazelrigg of Montgomery and John Bell of Texas. Member of Christian Church. Funeral by Elder Tinsley Saturday and burial in Longview Cemetery.

published Feb 9, 1894 "Feb 3 at her home near Bethel, Mrs. Lean Bell, of Bronchial pneumonail, aged 78. Wife of Robert Bell whom she survived only three months and daughter of Mason Talbott of Bourbon County of whose family of seven children only three are still living: Mrs. Eliza Botts of near Bethel, Mrs. Leoma Jones of North Middletown, and Sanford Talbott of Paris. She was mother of five children, four of whom survive: Mrs. Lean Arrasmith and Mrs. Sue Patrick of Bethel, Mrs. Leoma Hazelrigg of Montgomery county and John M. Bell of Texas. Left sixteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral at the home of Elder Thomas Howes of Poplar Plains."
