Surviving in addition to his parents are maternal grandparents, Clarence and Eunice Simmons of Winston-Salem; paternal grandmother, Cynthia Wyrick Crouse of Greensboro; paternal grandfather, Glenn B. Crouse of Greensboro; paternal stepgrandmother, Sarah Crouse of Greensboro; paternal great-grandfather, Carl Wyrick of Greensboro.
