My uncle Jerry was a lovable character with a big heart and could always make you laugh. One of my favorite stories that he would always tell me was when I dropped a tonka truck on his head (from the 2nd story porch) from my playpen while he was babysitting me. He instigated, along with my aunt, in giving me the nickname Boo Boo Tawny The Monkey Girl. I have very joyful memories of spending time with him, my aunt and cousins at their home in San Leandro, CA. I saw him last in 2004, and he still made me laugh. I always looked forward to his emails, as they were full of silly jokes and his views on the world.

Jerry was a native of San Jose, CA, lived many years in San Leandro, CA and was manager of a self storage business in Pleasanton, CA, where he lived with his wife Dolores before retiring to Modesto, CA.

Jerry is a veteran of the Korean Conflict, then was in the naval reserve. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus, and attended AA.

Jerry is survived by his daughters, Kathleen and Kirstie; granddaughter, Siobhan; grandsons, Ian and Neil; sisters, Phyllis and Betty.

Jerry was proceeded in death by his wife and love of his life, Dolores; parents, Jim and Helen; brother, Henry; and sister, Lucille.

Funeral services were held May 29th at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Modesto, CA. His final resting place is with his wife Dolores. Rest in peace, Uncle Jerry.
