Dick Ebel passed away on September 5th 2014 Born in Bay City Michigan to Alex and Emma Ebel in 1942. He joined the Marines in 1961 and he was stationed in Barstow, where he met and married his wife Bina. He worked for Barstow Tire and Brake, was a police officer/detective for the Barstow Police Department, owned La Scala Italian Restaurant and retired in 2007 as Deputy County Corner for San Bernardino County. He is predeceased by Alex and Emma Ebel, Lucille Ebel. Brothers and sister, Catherine, Lyle, Ken and Pete. He leaves behind his wife of 51 years Bina, and two sons, Richard, wife Angel and Dino, wife Shannon. Grandchildren Destiny, Richie, Peyton, Emersyn, Brady, Trey, and Nicole. Great grandchild Kairi. Sisters and brothers Chris and Ron Mielens, Charles and Judy Brunner, Jerry and Peggy Brunner, and Roy and Bonnie Ebel. He will be dearly missed and is loved by all. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, September 13th at 11:00am with a visitation one hour prior at Mt St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Barstow, with a Graveside service with Military Honors immediately following at Mt View Cemetery in Barstow. Victor Valley Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
