Born in Steuben County, New York in 1841, Malissa Brimmer Campbell married Robert Alexander Campbell in 1860 in Illinois. Together they had 11 children, 10 of whom reached adulthood. She and her husband were pioneers of Linn County, Iowa, and at the time of her death at the age of 97, was survived by 89 descendents, including 8 children, 34 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Malissa was also a direct descendent of both Richard Warren and Edward Fuller, both of whom arrived on The Mayflower at Plymouth, MA in 1620.
