CHATHAM - Mary Elizabeth Flowers, 91, of Chatham, formerly of Springfield and Banning, Calif., died Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at 10:43 a.m. at St. John's Hospice.
She was born Aug. 4, 1916, to Charles and Nellie Kitterman Harber. She married Russell Flowers on Oct. 15, 1935; he preceded her in death in 1958.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting afghans and loved to play poker. She formerly was a member of Chatham Christian Church.
Surviving are three sons, two daughters, a half sister, 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Mary enjoyed visiting with her family - especially keeping up with her great-grandchildren.
