Hans Christian Lytken, 72, died unexpectedly in his home in Sutter City yesterday morning. A native of the south Butte area, Lytken was a son of pioneer settlers in the county, Hans and Christina (Andersen) Lytken. Both of his parents were born in Denmark. Lytken worked for many years for the California division of highways, retiring when he was 70. He is survived by his wife, Effie Summy Lytken and three children, Mrs. Velma Moxon of Downey, Summy Lytken of Sacramento and Herbert Lytken of Sutter City; one brother, Frank Lytken of Sutter City and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Byron P. Hovey of Sutter Community church on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Ullrey Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Sutter Cemetery.
