Laura Fitzpatrick Wood, Jr. (Coleman) was the daughter of James Gillam Wood, Jr. and Laura Fitzpatrick (Wood), Sr. They lived at Mount Hope Plantation, Church Hill, Jefferson County, Mississippi. Laura, Jr.'s parents died in 1864 during the war, and their graves have never been found. Laura, Jr. married Dr. Francis Brent Coleman in 1869 and they lived at his residence at Wyolah Plantation, Church Hill. She was his second wife. When Dr. Coleman died, Laura went to live with her brother, Gillam Wood who was living with his in-laws, the Goodrich family in Tensas Parish, Louisiana. Laura, Jr. is buried in the Christ Episcopal Church Cemetery in Church Hill MS. She had 8 siblings. Her sister Juliet Morton Wood (Allein) (1832-1914) was my great-great grandmother. Peggy Dyas
