Faris Lee Allen, Jr., age 72, passed away at home on Tuesday, May 8, 2007. He was born on October 13, 1934 to Faris Lee Allen, Sr. and Tomazene Blythe in Nelson, Missouri.

Faris retired as a MSGT in the United States Air Force after 26 1/2 years, where he was an Air Traffic Controller.

He was an accomplished marathon runner who ran three times in the Boston Marathon, five times in Metz, France, once in Athens, Greece in 1977, three times in Frankfurt, Germany, once in Roderdam, Holland, once in Rome, Italy, once in Rota, Spain along with many others throughout his lifetime.

Faris is survived by four daughters and seven grandchildren.
