Guadalupe Mendoza Aguillon, 60, of Temple died Thursday, November 1, 2007 in a Temple hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2007 at Full Gospel Holiness Church with Pastor Frank Davila and Pastor Robert Solorio officiating. Military graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5-6 p.m. Sunday with a prayer service starting at 6 p.m. at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mr. Aguillon was born September 30, 1947 in Maysfield, Texas. He was a graduate of Troy High School and was veteran of the U. S. Army having served in Vietnam where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He had worked for Mineral Wool Insulation and Rockwool Industries, before starting his residential remodeling business. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Church. He was preceded in death by his Father Santiago C. Aguillon, Sr. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Aguillon of Temple; his mother, Francisca Aguillon of Temple; two daughters, Maria Aguillon of Belton and Amanda Plymell of Temple; two sons, Eric Aguillon of Belton and Richard Aguillon of Temple; four step-children, Dorothy Velazquez of San Antonio, Linda Cruz of Temple, Frances Yerkes of Temple, and Tommy Arvizu of California; three sisters, Rosa Davila, Mary Ann Herrera, and Angelina Flores all of Temple; four brothers, Domingo Aguillon of Heidenheimer, Santiago Aguillon, Jr. of Troy, Marcelo Aguillon, Sr. of Troy, and Miguel Aguillon of Temple; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Mt. Calvary Church, 8580 Iglesia Lane, Temple, Texas 76504 or Full Gospel Holiness Church, 1709 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Temple, Texas 76501. The family wishes to thank Vista Care Hospice for their care and love given to them during Mr. Aguillon illness. Pallbearers will be Richard Aguillon, Eric Aguillon, Joseph Velazquez, John Aguillon, David Herrera, Jr., and Marcelo Aguillon, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Aguillon, Seth Michael Aguillon, Francisco Davila, Jr., and Robert Flores, Jr.
