She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Goldie Arthur; and sister, Betty McKenzie.
She was employed at the Bergstrom AFB NCO Club from 1967 and retired when Bergstrom AFB closed. She was a loving mother and was survived by her daughter, Jeanette Storch of Pennsylvania, Ernest Aycock and his wife, Dee Cavazos-Aycock of Del Rio, Patricia McBee and husband, Terry of Pflugerville, Michael Cole of Fredericksburg and Kelly Carper of Austin; and one very special cat, "Sparky". She was also survived by her loving sisters and brother, Donna Cunningham and husband, Buzz, Deanie Finley and Jimmy Arthur and wife, Patty.
She enjoyed life and loved being with family and friends. Williamson Creek was next to her home and she enjoyed feeding and taking care of the wild animals that came to her for food including foxes, raccoons, deer, coyotes and a very special turkey vulture with a broken wing, named Bella.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Minister Brother Gary Rodgers of First Lockhart Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park in Oak Hill, Texas.
