OBITUARY, PAGE 14, CLINTON, N.Y., WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 1974:
Carl W. Bendix, 61, of 4749 French Road, Clark Mills, died Feb. 14 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital Center. He was born in Utica, the son of Carl H. and Ethel Tindall Bendix. He received his education in Utica. He was a World War II Air Force veteran and married Grace W. Wadsworth on Oct. 6, 1951, in Bridgewater. He was a sales representative for R.H. Donnelly Company for 28 years. He was a life member of Grace Episcopal Church, a member of Oriental Lodge No. 224 F&AM, Ziyara Temple and an honorary life member of the Utica Maennerchor and the South Utica American Legion Post. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Carl A. of California and Donald C. of Pennsylvania; two grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. His funeral was Saturday morning at Grace Episcopal Church. Interment will be next spring in Kirkland Cemetery. Members of Oriental Lodge conducted ritualistic services Friday evening. In lieu of flowers, please consider the Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Box 399, Clark Mills, N.Y., 13321, or Grace Church Memorial Fund, Genesee at Elizabeth street, Utica, N.Y. 13501.
