Thomas Kerns was the son of Henry Kerns and Susanna Coombs. He served in Ohio 63 Infantry Co B during the Civil War. He married Christina Hines (daughter of Philip Hines and Sarah Mattox) in Ross County, Ohio on 8 Apr 1841. After her death on 15 Nov 1873, he married a second time to Cynthia Ann Wyckoff on 25 Sep 1874 in Vinton County. I have been unable to locate Christina's grave. Thomas and Christina were the parents of:
