A native Californian, Graham was born in Shingle Springs, and resided in Sacramento from at least 1900 to 1966. A "jack of all trades," he engaged in a variety of occupations. In 1900, at the age of 18, he was an "Expressman." In 1918, he was a painter for Pacific Gas and Electric. In 1930, at the age of 47, he was a salesman for a tobacco company. In 1942, he was working for his brother-in-law, J.F. Mispley. He was described as a man of med. height and build, with blue eyes, brown hair, and a ruddy complexion. He passed away in Sacramento, at the age of 83.
