She is the daughter of Nye Haskins and Henrietta Stoneback.
According to her parent's divorce records, she was born in 1872.After her mother's divorce, her mother married Frank Lee Mitts.She was raised by her step-father Frank Lee Mitts who raised her as his own.She went by the Mitts name even when she got married.

She married Samuel Ellis Wood in 1887.They had a son Robert Raymond Wood.Their marriage was short lived. Samuel Wood raised his son. She moved to Iowa,there she met William S. Chambers. She married William S. Chambers in 1894.She raised his four children as her own.

They were Blanche,Emma,Arnet and Hazel.During their marriage, when the children were older, some of them moved to California in the 1920's with William Chambers and Alice. Emma and Arnet stayed behind in Iowa. She stayed married to William up until his death in 1936. Later she met Ciro Grana.
They were only married for a few months when Alice passed away.
