~ Ira was born in NY, married, and started his family there. In 1846 they had a son born in NY, the next year a daughter born in OH, and the following year of 1848 a daughter in MI. The 1850, 1860, 1870, & 1880 Census Reports placed the family in Riga Twp. Michigan at each reporting.

~ Census reports list his year of birth as 1821 in NY.
