He was born in Bristol , October 3, 1934 a son of the late Corrado and Frances Savasta Agosta and had lived in Wallingford for most of his life before moving to Moodus. He was employed by First National Stores for more than fifty years until his retirement. Jack loved to get involved with local politics and attended countless Wallingford Town Council meetings. He also served on the East Haddam Planning and Zoning Committee. He was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan.
In addition to his wife Rosalie, he is survived by his daughter, Deborah Agosta; his son and daughter-in-law, David and Dale Agosta; his sisters, Louise Claffey, Aurora Zuilkowsky and Flavia Gwara and her husband John; many nieces, nephews, friends, and his beloved dog, T.J. He was predeceased by his sister, Madeline Achino and his brother, Peter Agosta.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford , on Friday, August 17, 2012, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in The Wallingford Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford . Gifts in his memory may be sent to the charity of one's choice.
